Pastor John E. Grayson, along with his wife, Dr. Chinester Crum-Grayson, are natives of Thomasville, Alabama and founders of Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. Our Pastor and First Lady oversee the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church in a very purpose-driven way serving both the congregation and community with integrity and respect.   

 As a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel, Pastor Grayson founded and continues to serve as the Senior Pastor of Gospel Tabernacle COGIC and Faith Temple COGIC. He also currently serves as overseer of Alabama First Jurisdiction and District Superintendent -- Gospel Tabernacle, Selma; Hope Well, Furman; Peace Temple, Camden; and Faith Temple, Pineapple. 

A phenomenal Woman of God with over 20 years of leadership experience professionally and personally within academia, business, community, and spiritual endeavors, Dr. CeCe Grayson earned a Doctor of Philosophy and  Master’s Degrees in Transformational Leadership, Specialized Counseling, and Clinical Pastoral Counseling respectively. She has been a Certified Christian Counselor since 2004, and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

Dr. Grayson currently serves in a dual role  of dean and professor for Minnesota Graduate School of Theology—Selma Campus.

We are blessed to have a dedicated leadership team of believers who invest their hearts, time, families, and finances in the building of our local church and the Kingdom of God.  We have complete confidence in our team of licensed and ordained ministers that assist in helping to realize the shared vision of serving the community and bringing souls to Christ.
